I wish I would have had more time to chat at Elizabeth's Furnace Saturday, but as you could see, I was in kind of a hurry.

I like to think that you are not an experienced ultrarunner until you have DNFd. At least once.

Thanks again.Neal Jamisonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14724547967899185071noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2767981221012873692.post-81247661941299088782008-05-31T00:04:00.000-04:002008-05-31T00:04:00.000-04:00Hi Sophie!Another well written post.It was tough t...Hi Sophie!
Another well written post.It was tough to pick out Chapin in that photo, they all look the same!
Congrats from the Cincy Speidels. Thanks for commenting---MMT is a terrific 100, one you should definitely try. Although it is interesting to see the MMT all-time finishers list and note how many folks have only one finish...many of these folks are long-time volunteers of the race. While the finish line at MMT is very low key, folks like you that volunteer have made me (and I expect other finishers) feel like we won the event with all the cheers and encouragement. Congratulations on the State Championship - I was the catcher on my HS team when we won two Florida titles so I know how rewarding that is. Thank you so much for all of your advice and support. Hope to see you soon.

BedfordBedrockhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10010070560918695032noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2767981221012873692.post-22179860645686938212008-05-22T19:28:00.000-04:002008-05-22T19:28:00.000-04:00make that 2 short weeks...KM100 in Wisconsin. yike...make that 2 short weeks...KM100 in Wisconsin. yikes!I am a runner. So close to the surface, and unable to be hidden and pushed back down like we are so often taught to do in normal societal roles and interactions. IT is raw, real and wonderful.

I can't wait to run in yet another one humdred miler in 3 weeks!!!!I am a runner.
